About the Artist

I'm a self-taught watercolor painter currently residing in Queenstown, New Zealand. I use Winsor & Newton, Daniel Smith, and QOR paints. My preferred medium is 100% pure cotton cold-pressed Arches or rag paper, typically sized up to 9 x 12 inches. My early inspiration came from Anna Bucciarelli's botanical work on YouTube; I admire her attention to detail and vibrant colour choices.

Painting brings me serenity and promotes a calm and peaceful state of mind. It allows my inner dialogue to quiet down, enabling me to be fully present in the creative process. Most of my artwork focuses on still life, which I capture through photographs I take or images I alter from online sources. When I paint, I enjoy having a 'slow morning', listening to music and sipping a strong cup of coffee.

In addition to painting, I work full-time as a Speech and Language Therapist with adults. I aspire to further my knowledge of watercolor techniques and develop my skills while connecting with others in creative spaces.
